The Bank, based out of San Diego is a Private bank that provides specialized banking services to a distinctive group of clients who have a more complex banking and financial planning needs.
The Bank serves its clients through branch locations across various cities in the US. In addition, the bank also operates a Private Business Capital division.

  • The Bank’s decision making and information flow for Customer accounts, Loans, Asset monitoring, Loan defaults tracking, resource planning & forecasting etc. were highly localized. There was no reliable tool for historical comparison and trend analysis – to integrate data at all operational levels and furnish actionable insights for financial reporting and forecasting.

Approach

  • Accurasy provided best solution by extracting the data from DCI Flat files using SQL Server Integration Services ETL and load the files into Staging database (SQL Server).
  • Accurasy has designed a Star Schema by understanding the Data Model.
  • From Staging data was loaded into Datawarehouse (SQL Server) in the form of Facts & Dimensions.
  • On the top of Datawarehouse, SSAS cube was built which gives the aggregated information.
  • By accessing the cube Accurasy has built useful dashboards like Customer 360, Branch wise dashboard, Executive dashboard, Loan related dashboards etc. using Power BI which satisfied client needs.

Result

  • Centralized repository of data that contains information from many sources within the bank.
  • Enhanced Customer360 experience
  • 54 excel reports from source incorporated as 22 at Power BI which helped in quick decision making & automated file sharing that saved considerable time spent while sharing through other tools
